Funky Friday!

Each week the junior school has Funky Friday. During Funky Friday, we lead and participate in activities where we manage ourselves, participate and contribute, relate to others, and develop our leadership skills. Here are some of the things we do:

Meeya leading rock painting

Jack leading painting using tape to create patterns on card

Otis leading road building in the sandpit

Toby and Leo made cards in Room 11

Kris led an activity using magnets

We had a fairy bread station

Cooper was leading people in learning the guitar

Some children made Minecraft cubes 

We are playing silent ball

Rules: you can not talk or move

Payton and Meeay won the 1st game

Otis won the 2 nd game 

It's writing time in room 13

They are writing about an experiment 

First we put milk and then we put some food could ring in the bowl it was amazing but it didn't work. It was amazing

Maths Night Fun!

On Wednesday 12th of August, 10 children were experts at the East Taieri Maths Night. We had many parents and children come to learn about the strategies and knowledge needed for each stage. We had lots of fun! Sophie and Oliver enjoyed making sets of 10. Otis and Leon enjoyed ordering and saying the number after to 20 with the dinosaur cards. Toby and Cooper enjoyed all of their activities. Leo and Hector enjoyed playing Snap to 50. Blake and Jack enjoyed Murtles Turtles.

Meg comes to visit Room 13!

Hector brought his puppy Meg into Room 13 for a visit at news time today! She was very wiggly, soft and excited! Meg is a Spoodle, and she is three and a half months old. Here are some pictures of her very exciting visit:
